I captured close-up and wide-angle RAW photos of the Rustic Bread using a DSLR, then processed them in Meshroom to create a high-poly mesh. After clean-up in ZBrush, I used Blender to create a UV-unwrapped low-poly version. I returned to Meshroom to generate the colour map, refining it to remove artefacts.
Next, I baked high-poly details (normal, roughness, AO) onto the low-poly mesh in Substance 3D Designer. In Substance 3D Painter, I finalised textures at multiple resolutions (4K, 2K, 1K, 512px), including detailing the undercarriage.
I exported texture sets optimised for both Unreal Engine and general use. Back in Blender, I applied the textures, created LODs using the Decimate tool, and tested texture fidelity at different levels. Finally, I verified everything in Unreal Engine 5 to ensure proper LOD performance.
